An art project by Thelma Boateng in collaboration with Feriening Doarpsbelang Peins.
 
Twelve ceramic mosaics have been installed in a long concrete bench located between the kaats* field and It Plein, the village square in Peins, Friesland. The mosaics are based on stories shared by residents about the village Peins in 2025. 

The twelve mosaics are connected by a continuous mosaic band running the length of the bench. The band is composed of fragments of tableware collected from households in Peins.

An information panel next to the bench contains a QR code linking to the project website, where you can read and listen to the stories in Frisian and Dutch.
